Janette E.-Born January 8 1992-Present
Hallo, I am Janette. I am 16 years old, sophmore in high school. I’ve been doing needle work for about a year now, and it only keeps getting better. All my emboridery is done by hand without a machine. Otherwise I love ds video games, especially pokemon, sewing, toys, animation of all kinds, the library, reading, martial arts and have some interest in Japanese folklore. More over all, I love living life and making the most of it.
Right now, my goals are to expand sewing, and get through high school in one piece. Especially the latter. Long term, I want to be a librarian when I grow-up.
My obsessions are my favorite animated work, Princess Tutu, Pokemon and Phoenix Wright.
This website is meant as a place to blog as well as display my work. So what’s with all this embroidery? I’ll just say, this is a new spin on an underapperciated art. Embroidery gets a lot of bad rep as what boring opressed women did in old times, but there is nothing boring, demeaning, or opressive about this art. At the very least, you get stabbed a lot. Skill in embroidery takes time and skill to do, and what you can do with just a thread and needle is absolutely amazing. I hope you at least view my work and see that.
I also blog for Borderline Hikkomori found at cjblackwing.wordpress.com
If you have any questions, ask.
Seriously readers, you’ve got to see her work her embroidery in person. There’s nothing boring at all about it. I find it fascinating.
