So I watched the anime movie Tekkonkinkreet. It was really something else, the animation was gorgeous, and it just really appealed to me. Though my sister’s first response was, “JANETTE! Stop bring home artsy Japanese films!”

Well, it’s by the studio 4C, so I can’t argue back.

It’s really hard to describe the movie, as the plot is so complex. Two brothers, one the violent Black who watches over the city, and the other, the autistic White, live together in Treasure Town. Treasure Town is a town full of gambling, and well, bad stuff. And that about all I can describe. The characters are absolutely fascinating. I’d liked the inclusion of an austitic character a lot.

It really reminded me of Kon’s movies, and since there’s only so many of those, and was really glad to come across this.
